Skiing in the Sun

We had a beautiful bluebird ski day last weekend - so fun!! Great skiing and lunch on the deck in the sun. But...I have to say I am ready for spring. We are having some major spring fever in our home. We want to see green grass, wear flip flops and jump on the trampoline. We are counting the days until spring break!!! But I am sure we will have a few more sunny ski days before we escape the cold weather over spring break in April. Nothing is prettier than the blue sky against the white majestic mountains - I love to take in these sights while riding the ski lift and feeling the warmth of the sun on our faces!!

Mia Loves Gymnastics

We had Mia's first gymnastics meet this past weekend in Logan, Utah. She was full of nerves and unsure what to expect for her first real meet. But, in true Mia style, she rocked!! She was a little shaky on her first event (beam) but quickly pulled it together and got incredible scores on her next 3 events. She ended her first meet with a 3rd place medal for the all-around - that included first place on the vault, 3rd place on bars and 5th place on floor. And they have her ranked with the 9 yr olds since she turns 9 during the season, so she did great against girls older than her. She has always been our true competitor. We can't wait for the next meet!!

Piper wants to be just like her big sister - she had to pose on the podium, too! :)
